NELFUND, DEEPENING STAKEHOLDERS ENGAGEMENT WITH A COURTESY VISIT TO OGUN STATE
As part of our ongoing stakeholder engagement efforts to deepen NELFUND’s footprint nationwide, the Managing Director/Chief Executive, Mr. Akintunde Sawyerr, yesterday led a delegation to Abeokuta on a strategic courtesy visit to the Governor of Ogun State, His Excellency Prince Dapo Abiodun, CON.
The MD/CE was accompanied by:

This engagement represents a major step in strengthening our collaboration with one of the most education-driven states in the country. His Excellency emphasized that Ogun State hosts the highest concentration of tertiary institutions in Nigeria, underscoring its strategic importance in expanding NELFUND’s reach and impact.
Key discussion points included:
• Accelerating student awareness and uptake of NELFUND across all tertiary institutions in Ogun State
• Developing targeted communication and sensitization programmes to leverage the state’s extensive academic ecosystem
• Enhancing state-level cooperation to ensure sustainable access to education loans for eligible students
• Aligning with the Governor’s commitment to champion transformative education initiatives across the state
The visit reaffirmed NELFUND’s commitment to proactive stakeholder engagement, robust government partnerships, and the nationwide scaling of our education financing mandate.
