In the course of the rescue operation, the two deceased victims were evacuated by LASTMA personnel and handed over to the Lagos State Environmental Health Monitoring Unit (SEHMU), popularly known as SHEMU, while the two critically injured survivors were swiftly conveyed to the General Hospital, Odan, for urgent medical attention and further treatment.

The Police officers provided the requisite security reinforcement and maintained order at the scene until the rescue and recovery operations were successfully concluded.
The Authority's intervention underscored its unwavering commitment to prompt emergency response, effective traffic incident management, inter-agency cooperation and the preservation of human lives on Lagos roads.

Bakare-Oki emphasised that responsible driving, sustained concentration and the judicious exercise of caution remain indispensable to the prevention of avoidable road traffic collisions and their devastating consequences.
LASTMA consequently urges motorists to exercise exceptional caution, maintain safe following distances, avoid reckless manoeuvres and ensure that their vehicles are roadworthy at all times.
