APC CONGRATULATES OUR VICTORIOUS CANDIDATES IN THE SEPTEMBER 19 LEGISLATIVE BYE-ELECTIONS
The All Progressives Congress (APC) congratulates our four victorious candidates in the five legislative bye-elections conducted by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) on Saturday, September 19, 2026.
The victorious candidates are Hon. Kallamu Usman MaiJama’a of Gombe/Kwami/Funakaye Federal Constituency, Gombe State; Hon. Husseini Datti of Dawakin Kudu State Constituency, Kano State; Hon. Okolosi Ator of Udu State Constituency, Delta State; and Hon. Yakubu Ali of Disina State Constituency, Bauchi State.
This massive win is a solid demonstration of the Party’s organisational strength, grassroots support, and the confidence reposed in the APC by the electorate. Coming ahead of the 2027 general elections, the results demonstrate our Party’s wide acceptance, and strengthens our resolve to work assiduously for the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and all candidates of our great Party across the country.
The Party extends its profound appreciation to our teeming members, leaders, stakeholders, and campaign teams, particularly our supporters in Gombe, Kano, Delta, and Bauchi States, for their full faith and confidence in the APC. We thank them for exercising their democratic rights and entrusting our candidates with the important responsibility of representing them.
As we congratulate our victorious candidates, we charge them to remain humble in victory, accessible and responsive to their constituents and to deliver high quality representation, leadership and development to their constituents.
Our commendations go to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for the successful conduct of the bye-elections, and to our security agencies for ensuring peaceful and secure elections.
We deeply appreciate all Nigerians for their steadfast support of our great Party and President Tinubu’s administration. This support has earned our Party consistent and towering victory in all bye-elections conducted since the 2023 general elections.
