AGEGE/ORILE AGEGE LG/LCDA CONCERNED APC STAKEHOLDERS ASSURES PARTY OF TOTAL VICTORY AT 2027 GENERAL ELECTIONS
..... Dismisses Defectors influence on party's political fortune at the polls
Leaders, members and supporters of the All Progressives Congress (APC) under the banner of Concerned APC stakeholders in Agege and Orile Agege local government and local council development area today Monday 21st September 2026, gathered in large numbers in Agege Lagos, to assure the party of total victory in the upcoming 2027 general elections in the local government and local council development area of the State.
In attendance at today's press briefing, were notable bigwigs of the party which included Hon. Taofiq Adaranijo the former chairman of Orile Agege LCDA and former member of the House of Representatives Agege federal constituency, Comrade Kayode Opeifa MD/CEO Nigerian Railway Corporation (NRC), Hon. Oluyinka Ogundimu former member Lagos State House of Assembly Agege State Constituency 01, Hon. Jubreel Abdulkareem Current Member Lagos State House of Assembly Agege State Constituency 01, Hon. Adeshina former chairman Agege local government council, Hon. Shakiru Enimakure APC Agege State Constituency 02 Candidate for the 2027 general election, Hon. Adewale Adeyeye, Hon. Kamorudeen Sabitu, Otunba Hon. Sola Osolana, Bamofin Adetunji Akinyemi, wards chairmen and their executives, members and the media among several others.
The Concerned APC Stakeholders made it known that the reported recent defection of the former chairman of Agege local government council Hon. Kola Egunjobi and Azeez Yusuf to the Allied Peoples Movement (APM) and their candidatures for Agege State Constituency 01 and 02 in the forthcoming general elections, will have no effect on the chances of APC candidates sweeping the polls.
According to the spokesperson of the Concerned APC Stakeholders, Hon Oluyinka Ogundimu, "We are assuring our leaders that we will mobilize massively and deliver huge votes for all APC candidates in the 2027 general elections".
They called on the APC leadership in Lagos State to investigate the circumstances leading to the defection of both Egunjobi and Azeez with a view to taking disciplinary action on the matter.
The Lagos State leadership of the APC was also called upon by the Concerned APC Stakeholders to review and finalize all pending reconciliation and harmonization with regards to the unresolved party structure in both Agege local government and Orile Agege local council development area.
The Concerned APC Stakeholders charged the party leadership to ensure that defected aspirants and disloyal party members "Must be removed from the party leadership system and not allowed to be part of the party 2027 election planning and execution".
In the same vein, they called for urgent action against the disrespect to the Governor of Lagos State and the party leadership with regards to the supervisors who were yet to be sworn in both Agege and Orile Agege LG and LCDA respectively.
The Concerned APC Stakeholders equally reaffirmed it's implicit confidence in the leadership of the Lagos State APC to take appropriate action on their requests.
