AGEGE LGA APC STAKEHOLDERS CONDEMN SPEAKER OBASA THREAT AGAINST PARTY
..... Democracy is about the people and not one man
...... Emergence of Hon. SULE SAKIRU AKINDELE ENIMAKURE is reward for loyalty and unwavering commitment to APC
Concerned stakeholders and members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Agege local government council area and Orile Agege LCDA of Lagos State have strongly condemned the reported threats of Right Honourable Mudashiru Obasa the speaker of the Lagos State house of assembly and member representing State constituency 02 Agege, to destabilize and disorganize the party structure in Agege LGA and Orile Agege LCDA because his preferred candidates for the State constituencies 01 and 02 Agege failed to secure the parties ticket in the recently concluded State Constituencies primary election.
Rising from an emergency APC stakeholders meeting convened in Agege, to address recent developments arising from the recently concluded APC primaries, they all unequivocally rejected and condemned Rt. Hon. Obasa threats to destabilize the party in Agege LGA and Orile Agege LCDA for his personal interest
According to the communique, the APC stakeholders noted that, "It is unfortunate, sad and unacceptable that one individual continues to treat the party structure in Agege and Orile-Agege as a personal estate instead of a democratic institution guided by fairness, inclusion, and internal democracy".
The stakeholders further warned that, "This consistent pattern of political oppression, intimidation, exclusion, and imposition is gradually eroding and destroying the unity and democratic foundation of our great party in Agege LGA and Orile-Agege LCDA".
"We therefore call on the leadership of APC in Lagos State and at the national level to urgently intervene and protect democracy, fairness, inclusiveness, and peace within the party structures in Agege LGA and Orile-Agege LCDA because these continued acts of intimidation and imposition has the tendency to cause irreparable damage to the unity and electoral success of the party".

COMMUNIQUE FROM AGEGE LGA AND ORILE AGEGE LCDA APC STAKEHOLDERS MEETING
AGEGE LGA APC STAKEHOLDERS CONDEMN SPEAKER OBASA THREAT AGAINST PARTY
We, the concerned stakeholders, party faithful, youths, women, elders, indigenous Awori sons and daughters, and committed members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Agege and Orile-Agege, wish to strongly condemn and reject the threats allegedly being issued by Rt. Hon. Mudashiru Ajayi Obasa to destabilize and disorganize the party structure in Agege and Orile-Agege simply because candidates supported by the Justice Forum tendency emerged against his imposed candidates.
It is unfortunate and unacceptable that an individual continues to place personal interest far and above collective interest and treat the party structure in Agege and Orile-Agege as a personal estate instead of a democratic institution guided by fairness, inclusion, and internal democracy.
The people of Agege and Orile-Agege can no longer remain silent while democratic processes are continuously hijacked. During the just concluded Local Government elections in Lagos State, Rt. Hon. Obasa used his influence to install his biological son Vinod Obasa as the Chairman of Agege Local Government and imposed one of his loyalists as the Chairman of Orile-Agege LCDA against the collective wishes of many party stakeholders and members.
Furthermore, out of 13 Councillorship positions across Agege and Orile-Agege, he singlehandedly imposed 12 Councillors, shutting out credible party loyalists and grassroots mobilizers who have laboured tirelessly for the growth of the APC over the years.
As if that was not enough, during the recently concluded APC party congress, he unilaterally handpicked and wrote the names of virtually all party executives from the ward level to the Local Government level without consultation, inclusiveness, or accommodation of the Justice Forum group and several other stakeholders within the party.
This consistent pattern of political oppression, intimidation, exclusion, and imposition is gradually eroding and destroying the unity and democratic foundation of our great party in Agege LGA and Orile-Agege LCDA.
It must be clearly stated that the emergence of Hon. SULE SAKIRU AKINDELE ENIMAKURE as the APC candidate for State Constituency 02 Agege for the 2027 General Elections was not accidental. It is a reward for years of loyalty, sacrifice, grassroots engagement, and unwavering commitment to the progressive family from the days of Alliance for Democracy (AD) till date.
Hon. Sakiru Enimakure served diligently and meritoriously as Financial Secretary of Ward J during the AD era in Agege. As the progressive movement evolved from AD to AC, ACN, and eventually APC, he remained steadfast and continued serving the party diligently as Financial Secretary of Ward A, Orile-Agege.
His political heritage and loyalty to the progressive family are deeply rooted. His late father, Chief Adisa Sule Enimakure of blessed memory, was a respected and influential Awori leader who served faithfully as AD Chairman in Agege Local Government and later as Local Government Vice-Chairman during the AC and ACN periods until his death in 2014.
The Enimakure family remains one of the respected indigenous Awori political families with deep historical and political roots across Agege, Orile-Agege, Ifako-Ijaiye, Ikeja, and several Awori communities in Lagos State.
Beyond politics, Hon. Sakiru Enimakure is educated, experienced, grassroots-oriented, and widely accepted by the people. He attended Lagos Baptist College, Orile-Agege, obtained his SSCE from Ijamido International College, and later earned a Degree in Accounting from the prestigious Lagos State University (LASU).
It is therefore disingenuous, shameful and politically dangerous for anyone to threaten crisis within the APC simply because a popular, qualified, and loyal party man emerged through a credible and transparent democratic process.
We wish to remind all party leaders that the APC belongs to all members and not to one individual or family dynasty. The era where Agege LGA and Orile-Agege LCDA are treated as private political interests has come to an end.
We therefore call on the leadership of APC in Lagos State and at the national level to urgently intervene and protect democracy, fairness, inclusiveness, and peace within the party structures in Agege LGA and Orile-Agege LCDA because these continued acts of intimidation and imposition has the tendency to cause irreparable damage to the unity and electoral success of the party.
Justice Forum and other loyal APC members remain committed to the progress, peace, and electoral success of APC, but will continue to resist oppression, dictatorship, and anti-democratic tendencies within the party.
Long live APC,
Long live Agege LGA and Orile-Agege LCDA.
Long live Lagos State,
Long live the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
Signed:
Justice Forum/TRN
Agege LGA & Orile-Agege LCDA Chapters.
