ADC Youth Vanguard Urges Young Nigerians to Seize Voter Registration Opportunity, Shape 2027 Elections
The African Democratic Congress (ADC) Youth Vanguard has called on Nigerian youths to take advantage of the ongoing Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) exercise conducted by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), stressing that active youth participation is key to inclusion, representation, and the future of Nigeria’s democracy.
In a statement on Friday, Yusuf Shehu-Tijani, National Coordinator of the ADC Youth Vanguard, underscored the importance of youth voices and leadership in national decision-making.
“Youth can drive change, advocate for issues that matter to them, and contribute to building a more inclusive Nigeria come 2027.
"Registering to vote is the first step to ensuring their voices are heard and their future is protected,” Shehu-Tijani said.
He noted that young people bring unique perspectives, energy, and innovation to political discourse and urged them not only to register but also to join the ADC political family.
“By registering, youths should also consider joining ADC, attend town hall meetings, and even run for elective offices of their choice.
"The youth in politics can be role models, encouraging others to get involved, breaking barriers in leadership, and ensuring that policies reflect the needs and aspirations of all Nigerians,” he added.
Highlighting the role of youths in shaping Nigeria’s political future, Shehu-Tijani emphasized that political participation will give young people a say in policies affecting education, health, security, and economic opportunities.
The ADC Youth Vanguard reaffirmed its belief that the voices, perspectives, and leadership of Nigeria’s young people are indispensable in shaping a more inclusive and prosperous nation.
