It is with profound respect and deep reverence that the African Citizens Development Foundation (ACDF), an NGO committed to promoting transparency, good governance, and sustainable development across Africa, in consultative status with the United Nations, honours the passing of a monumental leader, President Muhammadu Buhari. A man of unwavering conviction, a soldier-statesman, and a true patriot, his legacy is etched indelibly into the history of Nigeria and the broader African continent.
President Muhammadu Buhari was a force to be reckoned with, first as a military Head of State, steering Nigeria through turbulent times with unwavering resolve and discipline. His leadership was marked by strength, integrity, and a relentless commitment to nation-building. His tenure was characterized by significant strides in strengthening Nigeria’s sovereignty and resilience, traits that continue to inspire us in our mission to foster development, transparency, and stability across Africa.
Transitioning from military leadership to democratic governance under the banner of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Buhari brought his experience, wisdom, and leadership acumen to serve Nigeria anew. He governed with honesty, transparency, and a resolute focus on reform; fighting corruption, improving governance, and working tirelessly to uplift the Nigerian people.
President Buhari was a man of his word, an embodiment of integrity who spoke truth to power and stood unwaveringly by his principles. His steadfastness and unwavering dedication to Nigeria’s progress serve as a beacon of hope and resilience for all Africans committed to sustainable development.
