Former Chairmen of CDHR Lagos Branch Felicitate With Dr Opeifa on his appointment as MD,NRC





Former Chairmen of Lagos Branch of foremost human rights organization,led by Dr Beko Ransome-Kuti among others,

the committee for Defence of human rights (CDHR) have felicitated with one of them and newly appointed  Managing Director  of the Nigeria Railway ,Dr Kayode Opeifa



The Past Leaders of the CDHR in a press release issued on Thursday,signed by Comrades Gbenga Soloki and Ade Ikuesan described Dr Opeifa as "a humanist, pragmatic public servant and a patriotic Nigerian " whose passion for good governance and development is unquantifiable 



They posited that they are confident that Dr Opeifa will ultimately make significant difference in the Railway corporation,as he has done in previous posts,especially as commissioner of Transportation in Lagos state ,where he developed master plan for the transport sector in the state 



They also stated that his commitment to the course of humanity will enable him come up with policies in that corporation to ensure that Nigerians are factored into the operation of the NRC


According to the statement"we want to congratulate our leader and also a former chairman of CDHR in Lagos state, whose remarkable tenure ended in 1997,Dr Kayode Opeifa on his appointment as the Managing Director  of the Nigeria Railway. No doubt,Dr Kayode Opeifa has been a firm believer in the progress and development of this country,as he has joined forces with progressives in birthing democracy and since he joined politics,he has been steadfast in his pursuit of projects and proposals that will uplift the downtrodden. No doubt, this will be another successful one,as he always excelled at previous assignments"



"So,on behalf of other past chairmen of CDHR in Lagos state,living and dead,we celebrate this milestone and wish him well ,while commending president Tinubu for the choice of Dr Opeifa  as MD of NRC",they concluded
