Donald Trump Emerges as America's 47th President
The Republican party candidate in the 2024 US presidential election former President Donald Trump has been elected as the 47th President of the United States of America.
Mr Trump defeated the incumbent vice President and the Democratic party candidate Kamala Harris by both the popular vote and the electoral college votes in a keenly contested election that kept not only Americans in suspense, but the world at large
Reports have it that the defeated Democratic party candidate Mrs. Kamala Harris has already conceeded defeat, while congratulatory messages have started pouring to Mr Trump over his electoral victory from world leaders.
